Privacy notice

This notice explains what eFreeNow collects when you use the web app or the iPhone app, why, and how long it is kept.

Information collected

  • Google sign-in: the account identifier, verified email, and basic profile details Google supplies.
  • Apple sign-in: the account identifier, your email or private relay address, and on the web any name you choose to share with Apple. The iPhone app asks Apple for your email only.
  • Activity: your internal user identifier, the offers you catch, your Wallet, redemptions, server timestamps, and the security and audit records needed to run the service.
  • Businesses: the business name and category, the offers it publishes, and who manages it.
  • Device and service data: the browser or app keeps your sign-in session. Vercel, Supabase, Google, and Apple process ordinary request and diagnostic information under their own notices. If you share analytics with Apple, Apple may give eFreeNow crash reports with your device, system, and app version; the app adds no account details.

How it is used

Your information is used to sign you in, run catching, the Wallet, and redemption, enforce who may manage a business, protect the service, and fix failures. A Google or Apple profile or email never grants business access. eFreeNow does not sell your information, show ads, ask where you are, or track you across other apps and websites.

Service providers

Supabase provides sign-in and the database, Vercel hosts the web app, Google and Apple provide sign-in, and GitHub stores the encrypted backups. Some of them may process information outside Australia.

Retention and deletion

Your Wallet shows finished claims for 12 months. You can delete your account at once from Delete account: it removes your sign-in account and identifying data straight away, and keeps only transaction history that no longer links to you, for up to 24 months. Encrypted backups are kept for 34 days, so a copy that still holds your details is gone within 35 days of deletion.

Security

Information travels encrypted, backups are encrypted to a key only the operator holds, and access to the database is limited to the service and its operator.
